Back from Colorado Springs

"The heavens tell the Glory of God, and the skies announce what His hands have made."

Psalm 19:1

Ray & I drove up Pike's Peak Wednesday afternoon (elev. 14,110'). This was a stop at around 12,000' - you can see Ray on the far right in an orange t-shirt. I got dizzy up at the top just walking into the gift shop!

A God spot: we were just leaving this location in this photo when the car we rented would no longer move because of the altitude. We tried a couple of more times, but it couldn't handle the incline. We asked God to please let us make it to the top - we had already gotten that far (appx. 16 of 18 miles). We tried one more time and God answered our prayers. The car acted like there was never anything wrong with it!

This is so relative to our marriage. We are climbing some big mountains together. Sometimes we tend to rely on what we have and forget to ask God for help. But when we do, He is right there!

The week was busy, but fun. Ray had a little too much fun! He was a parab operator for the ESPN and NBC air days and helped fax out the mics on course on our set day - (parab op: person who handles a parabolic microphone, which is a powerful directional microphone that can pick up sound from long distances). So, he had a lot of time with the audio crew checking the talent mics on the set up days. I worked only on the NBC days (Fri/Sat/Sun).

We miss you guys and look forward to this Thursday. God bless!

Welcome home! EPIC missed you! Glad you made it back safe. That climb up Pike's Peak is pretty scary. Cora and I made the trip a few years back. Did they put up guard rails? That was a long way down.
