Hello EPIC family,
I hope your week so far is going well. We had a great time during last week's gathering - good discussions of the Book of James (faith & deeds). This week promises more of the same as we get into "taming the tongue".
I'm sure each one of us has that whipped already (yeah, right
).
Don't forget that we are now meeting at our house, 7711 Autumn Park.
Let's be sure to keep our brother and sister, Bart & Denise Hensler, in our prayers. Yesterday, Bart took off for Yemen. He'll be there for two weeks working and serving. Let's pray for God's mercy and grace for Bart there in Yemen, and peace and comfort for Denise and the family back here at home.
I look forward to seeing you Thursday night.
Peace,
Jeff

Hi epic group,
Well our trip to Yemen was cancelled at the last moment due to mortors being fired into the housing area were we where going to stay. (al-qaeda)
I thank you guys for praying for this trip and that we were not there when this happened. Please continue to pray for the children we were going to opperate on and there families. I am not sure if this will be rescheduled, I kinda doubt it.
Anyway, Denise is glad that I didn't go and I am too at this moment. Hope to see you all on Thursday.
Bart
Looks like God answered prayer!
Hi EPIC! I miss all of you very much but want you to know that God is really working in my College home group. We are officially S.I.C. (Sisters In Christ)--the expression "that's sick" actually is the equivalent of us old schoolers' "groovy," or "cool." We have done a spiritual gifts test, discussed where to serve in the church community, and "my girls" have volunteered our group to head up the refreshments detail at the upcoming W.O.W event! We are about to finish "Purpose Driven Life" and have had a couple of fun get togethers. I am praying for all of you and will see you soon! Janette
Hey Janette
Good to hear from you. Wow, I volunteered for refreshments to at the WOW. See you then.
