Hi EPIC!I saw this picture and immediately thought of EPIC. It graphically depicts what we as a family of believers are all about. See the little specks of people in the background? They are people on the fringes that want what we have. They want friendship. They want encouragement. They want Jesus.
See the guy in blue in the bottom right? He is almost part of the group. He is approaching EPIC. For a second, EPIC will have to break the chain and allow him to attach himself to the group.
Keep in mind these guys/gals are probably falling at a rate of 100 miles/hour or more. One wrong move and they go hurling out of control toward earth. They each have their own set of concerns for survival. Yet, at just the right time they must open up to allow a new person in the group and experience the adventure EPIC is enjoying.
EPIC is so gracious. Thank you for 'breaking the chain' and welcoming my friend last night. He had a great time. He has a passion for wanting to know more about Jesus. I know he found what he was looking for in EPIC. It is a great place to be.

Archie, you're the best blogger jock I know! It was great having John with us last Thursday. I hope we made him feel welcome and free to come back again. Of course Kathy's cookies sure help!!
